Volvo VNL 670 v 1.4 by Aradeth (Only for ATS 1.2)

This mod is only for ATS 1.2

***Important: If you’re using old versions of that truck,
Remove highpipes, vimpel(curtain, flags) and 6 slots options for back of the chassis in the truck workshop.
Then activate that new version of the truck mod in the mod manager.
(If you forget to do that, it’s harmless but you’ll see some errors in the log.)
Or sell your old truck before update to v1.4


v1.4 (April 5)

– Added new 8×4, 8×6 and 6×4 long chassis.
– Added new low front bumpers with 3 material options.
– Added 3 more material variations to heavy-duty bumper, fixed shadow.
– Added new small quarter fenders with 4 material options.
– Added 2 more black tint options for the headlight glass.
– Added 3 more tint options for the windshield and side windows.
– Added hubs and hub covers with Volvo logo.
– Added 2 new type of wide cab aerokit/back spoiler with 3 material options.
– Added material options for the front grill frame.
– Added material options for VNL bonnet mirrors.(Plastic, chrome, paint)
– Added a selectable color version of custom skin.
– Added 3 new window decals.
– Added new highpipes. Removed some of the old ones, reworked all of the remaining.
– Added side windows deflectors(Thanks to ohaha.)
– Curtains(vimpel) removed, flags reworked.
– Half sideskirts reworked, fixed shadows.
– Added visible tanks to other sideskirts, fixed shadows.
– The dashboard computer screen reworked by Piva(Thank you.)
– Headlights and foglights reworked.(Thank you ohaha for the projector.)
– Fixed tire clipping, weird shadow, color mismatch(?) on double fenders.
– Fixed front licence plate rotation.
– Fixed color mismatch on the mudflap hangers and door handles.
– Fixed wrong position of some slots on roofgrills.
– Fixed position of the interior and roof camera.
– File size of the mod reduced by 50%.
– Whole chassis model replaced with a reworked vanilla chassis.
(That means polygon count of the truck reduced by 40% again, it also means more FPS.)
– Fuel tank size reduced to 1135 liters(300 gallons).
– Template reworked and added a PSD file which includes all the parts layer by layer.

I have few suggestions for next update,, if you can please add a illumination volvo logo like a neon logo so it would look great at night,,, adareth how can we play this in stable version 1.1.3 ? I don’t play beta version and it Looks like it will take months to ats to get out of current beta and i will have to wait months to test your great truck :( …

  8. What i would suggest for the truck would be spots to put side-lights up and down the edge of the aerokit/back spoiler, would be great, and again you do a great job !

    1. And ive drove a few 1000km and i think there is an issue with the left turn flasher, for some reason it turns my 4 flashers instead. ive checked and its not my controls its only on this truck! exept this your truck is perfect!!! 10/10

  12. well that was a lie that mod is only for ATS 1.2 on works ok only thing which is missing are default rims if someone can write how to change default rims that will be ok

  13. every time I try to drive this truck in the game (v1.2) it crashes the game. only mod I am using is All Trailers Pack v.1.0.1

  14. One bug I’ve noticed is that the right headlamp turn indicator lights up if the left turn indicator is on, like the truck has it’s 4-ways on. IDK if it’s just me. Not really an issue since I drive in first-person, but thought I’d bring it up for the next patch.

    Hey Aradeth,

    I have been looking forward to this update. Thank you for all your hard work. I am training in a VNL630 and the resemblances are phenomenal.

    This version is crashing my game however. First tried a normal update but couldn’t drive. Then tried to sell my old one, remove 1.3, place 1.4 in, then went to buy it, can’t even push Purchase without a crash. Any ideas?

      Correction on where it is crashing. I can hit purchase, as soon as I select an open garage spot, then it crashes.

    -This mod has some problems with OpenGL(mac users) from the beginning. That’s why your game is crashing.
    But if you are a Windows (DirectX) user this mod is totally “error free” and if yourgame crashes on Windows then you’redoing something wrong.

    – 630 cab and other things on hold for now. Because i’m trying to fix that OpenGL problem and it looks simple but it’s very time consuming. >> It’s the best place for your feedbacks and bug reports.

  19. On stable 1.2 now but when I click visit volvo dealer. I crash.
