This modification makes truck behavior to feel more realistic with Steering Wheel or Keyboard. This mode have “Realistic Steering with Keyboard” included.
It allows you to make smooth turns on high speed without overturn the truck even if you use realistic suspension settings, in this case “Dynamic Suspension”.

The steering become harder when switching direction and increasing speed. It is less harder when is stationary, ideal for parking!

Braking is a important factor in simulation and also I made some improvements, helping keyboard users also. Now braking is progressive and not so brutal as the default. You will have to use more often the retarder or engine brake.

The video below is a demonstration for those who don’t have a steering wheel and want some realism with keyboard. I hope you enjoy it.

Settings for Keyboard Users:

c_rsteersens 0.75 # Recommended!!! Or you can set slider in-game on middle.

Dynamic suspension settings:

g_suspension_stiffness 0.2
g_cabin_suspension_stiffness 0
g_truck_stability 0.5
g_trailer_stability 0.5
g_brake_intensity 1.0 # Decrease value if is too strong.

Note: If those values isn’t proper for yourself, feel free to change them.
Note*: Write above setting in console (~) after load the profile.
Note**: Lower value means more realistic behavior but high risk of overturn

Very important! This mod doesn’t work on TruckersMP!

This Mod adding a More realistic American Trains With Realistic Sounds.
based by PIVA Train Mod and Sounds by Drive Safely and TruckerKid.

For some locomotives and rail cars add skins with logos of real companies.
Now all freight trains are drived by more locomotives, from 2 to 5 coupled head DMUs and some additional in the mid and the end of the trains.
The length of trains has been changed, passenger: 5-15 cars. freight: 20-60 cars, depending on the number of sections and type of locomotives.
The max speed of freight trains: 80 KM/h. Passengers: 150 KM/h. (NOT MILES/H!)
Added realistic train sounds in new FMOD Sound Bank format.
All passenger trains added a reverse section locomotive.
also increased stopping distance for the all trains.

Changes in version 3.5.3 beta for ATS (v1.39 beta):
update for 1.39.0.48s
ATTENTION!!! The mod was created using the beta files of the game!
Its performance on subsequent builds is not guaranteed due to the fact that the developers make many changes

Please place this mod above any Sound Packs and Traffic mods in Load Order.

Attention!

This mod must be placed above any other third party mods that affect the trains, except for my own addons and graphic mods that change the skins or appearance of trains.
I recommend using this mod with mod Realistic Vehicle Lights by Frkn64 (this mod need higher priority than improved trains)
The Mod is not compatible with other Train mods (Except for mods for which compatibility addons exist)!
The mod does not support versions of game older than (1.39x).
For this mod not recommended increase setting “g_traffic” higher than value 1.0 or possible bugs and drawdowns FPS
