FEATURE LIST
============

## 1. Tire / Tyre sounds

* Real interior + exterior tire sounds. Tires will resonate in the cab depending on how fast you are accelerating and what speed you are in, giving a feel for your sense of speed.
* Heavier gravel sounds on dirt/gravel roads.

## 2. Suspension sounds

* Light and medium impacts to suspension can trigger cabin squeaking and movement sounds of the cabin.
* Hard impacts can trigger key swinging sounds.

## 3. Gameplay / UI sounds

* “Late music” replaced with Nokia phone ringtone sound (volume of this sound depends on Music volume in the in-game Audio settings).
* “Bing bong” chime for train and ferry loading screen sounds.
* Reduced volume of garage door sound, adviser message sound and yawning sound.
* New quiet photo camera sound effect for screenshots.

## Fuel / Gas station sounds

* Retro/historic ding sound for while the fuel is pumping (circa 1960s to 1970s). The number of dings can help give you an idea on how much you refueled…
* Real fuel pump, fuel lid, door close, seat belt click and key insertion sound effects for after refueling to a full tank.

## Interior sounds

* Real stick/switch/button sounds for: parking brake, hazard light, wiper stick, light switch and blinker / indicator / turn signal.
* Retarder sound changed to real retarder sound.
* Real rumblestrip sound.
* Lane-keeping (Driver Alert Support) alert sound if you drive on to the grass too fast (as per EU legal regulations). [ETS2 edition]
* Lift axle sound now includes button press sound effect.
* Pattering of rain on windshield audible in the cabin during heavy rain.
* At high speeds, wind will sound slightly faster.
* Mix of default amplified gear grinding sounds and new gear grinding sounds. Can be heard when you have damaged the transmission and/or gearbox.

## Trailer sounds

* Real sound effects for trailer coupling + uncoupling.
* Included air brake hose deattachment sound when uncoupling.

## AI Traffic sounds

* More refined generic AI traffic car sounds. Less buzz noise and more tire sounds and quiet engine sounds.
* AI traffic vehicles given new horn sounds. Depending on the patience of the driver, a short or long honk may be used.
* AI traffic trucks/buses given more variations of sounds (turbo, engines, gear changes).
* Motorcycles from Jazzycat’s AI Traffic Pack + JLTruck’s AI Traffic Pack given proper motorcycle engine sounds.
* Motorcycles will rev engine instead of using a car horn when blocked.
* Variety of engine sounds for special vehicles in various AI Traffic mods and in stock trucks from the original game.
* You can hear the slight sound of vehicles overtaking you or passing by you in the oncoming lane.

## Mover sounds

* Louder volume and reworked audio for a vast amount of moving objects including biplanes, trains (included train horns) etc.
* Enabled sound for a vast amount of movers that don’t originally come with sound (e.g. F22 jet fighters, ocean waves, tugboats, hot air balloons, you name it!).

## Location based ambience

* Prefab (i.e. company and delivery point) soundscape enhanced for American Truck Simulator (includes both daytime and nighttime ambience).
* Iceland coastal ambience for ProMods (wind, waves, very distant seagulls).
* Tunnel sounds for some large tunnels. [ETS2 edition]
* Suitable volumes of environmental ambience for various map mods.
* Some suitable sounds included for various companies and delivery points.

# Compatibility

* ETS2 1.25.3 and 1.26.x + ATS 1.4.x. and ATS 1.5.x. No errors in game log. Must have high priority in Mod Manager.
* Compatible with all trucks, including truck mods.
* Does not replace individual truck sounds, so can be used with an unlimited amount of truck sound mods of your choice.
* Compatible with all maps.
* Supports compatibility with Realistic Weather Sound 1.7.7 (provides realistic thunder + exterior rain sounds). Both mods can be enabled at the same time. Check the load order image included for more details.
* If using any of Grimes’ seasonal mods, place the seasonal mod with higher priority than the Sound Fixes Pack for a more accurate seasonal experience.
* If using winter mods, please enable Frosty Winter Weather Sound addon from Options folder of Sound Fixes Pack for winter sounds.

Hello, your work is fine but I have a problem I hope you can help me. I have a mirror fov mod and every time I activate it, the sound of the environment does not work, thanks first of all for the help

    1. Drive Safely

Hi, there is a file designed to be compatible with Mirror FOV mods in the Sound Fixes Pack. All you need to do is get the mirror_fov values from the mirror FOV mod and replace the existing ones in def/mirrorFOV_config.sui in the Sound Fixes Pack.

  3. Thanks for this great mod , its essential for me !
I’m using the open window mod , but I can’t adjust the wind noise. When I enter the command “s_air_noise0.5” , I get “unknown command” and no change in the sound. This is in ATS 1.5 beta.

    1. Drive Safely

Hi, thank you for the comment. Did you leave a space between s_air_noise and 0.5? That might be the issue.

I also may need to adjust some of the air_noise in next release since the command only applies only to one wind sound file at present.

      1. I tried :
        s_air_noise0.5 (no space)
        s_air_noise_0.5 (underscore)
        s_air_noise 0.5 (space)
All gave the same response , unknown command. I will change to closed window. The only reason I want to reduce the wind sound is it interferes with the music quality , which is quite realistic , but not desirable :)

        1. Update: I enabled closed window , entered the command “s_air_noise 0.5” (with a space) and it worked. Went back to mod manager , enabled open window , the commands also worked no problem.
          Strange , but problem solved ! :)

Hello, thank you very much for replying I have the mod since steam is mirror fov, I really do not know how to get the values if you could help me I would thank you

  6. Thanks for updating this must-have mod. I enjoy the window down option and ATS isn’t the same without this mod.

Just an opinion. I find the train sounds to be quite loud. It’s like the train is in the cab. Additionally, I never heard an North American train sound like the one in Kingman, Arizona. It sounds European to my ears. All other sounds are spot on in my humble opinion.

    Cheers

  7. Hmm. Dropped the trailer off in Kingman and then drove by the rail yard. Trains sounded fine. Go figure. :)

    1. Drive Safely

There’s an array of train sounds so they can sound different each time you encounter a train. The game does not take into account the sound isolation when the train is hidden from view in a tunnel so it can be weird sometimes.

Feel free to suggest any changes with the train sounds (horns, variety of engines, volume level) as I’m looking to add more sounds and improve existing ones! :)

Hi, I’m sorry to bother you with respect to the mod mirror fov. I can not solve the problem. Thanks. If you give me an orientation.

    1. Drive Safely

Is this mirror FOV mod the one on Steam Workshop by TruckerKid? I can have a look and make a fix.
