Improved Trains v3.8 for ATS 1.41x Release

This Mod adding a More realistic American Trains With Realistic Sounds.
based by PIVA Train Mod and Sounds by Cipinho, Drive Safely and TruckerKid.

Add classic diesel and steam engines, railcars and cabooses for sightseeing trains
For locomotives and rail cars add skins with names of his real companies.
Now all freight trains are drived by more locomotives, from 2 to 5 coupled head DMUs and some additional in the mid and(or) the tail of the trains.
The length of trains has been changed, passenger: 3-15 railcars (20 for Autotrains). freight: 15-60 railcars(up to 100 with addon), depending on the number of sections and type of locomotives.
Added realistic train sounds in new FMOD Sound Bank format.
All passenger trains added a reverse section locomotive.
also increased stopping distance for the all trains and added a miscalculation of their real mass by the game for greater realism of their acceleration dynamics and behavior on descents and ascents. accordingly, for each raft, the power is set as a multiple of the power of all its locomotives (not everywhere).

Added new livery for ES44 locomotives, BNSF and CEFX companies and updated livery for ATMRAK Dash8, Thanks @cometcrush for the textures specially made for this mod!
Added Union Pacific Switcher shunting diesel.(new SCS vanilla model finded in a game archives)
many models have been reworked in Blender 3D editor using updated shader presets in Blender tools.
the maximum speed limit for freight trains was increased to 85 km / h, the braking force was slightly increased.
the recently introduced realistically mixed trains were cut out, they are no longer readable by the game.
elimination of the conflict with the new coal wagon added by SCS (the carriage errors has been fixed)
added a new train parts cargo to the wagon platform
added car models: box, dump and tank ported from ETS2 for a greater variety of rolling stock (car textures will be American but differ in size)
return of the simultaneous appearance of two trains on multi-track railways
locomotive with tail number 1943 from the Cheyenne Wyoming Railway Museum, added to some of Union Pacific’s scheduled trains.
The sound bank has been rewritten, now the tonality of the sounds of the head locomotives (only the first locomotive) depends more on the position of their accelerator handle and not on the current speed.
the collisions of the railcar models were reworked to avoid unnecessary calculations of the interaction of collisions with each other during the movement of invisible and not externally manifested mutual collisions that loaded the computing system with parasitic calculations.
Fix for missing Trains and Trams in Denver Colorado.
fixed all possible compatibility issues with maps of Mexico and ProMods Canada.
the ratio of the number of regular trains in comparison with excursion and classic trains has been doubled (steam locomotives will become even rarer).
railway traffic to Wyoming and Texas for the future is registered. (Wyoming has a lot of steam locomotives, and coal cars; Texas has a lot of oil tanks).
The train spawn fix no longer works in 1.41 so trains can spawn (but not disappearing) next to the player again.(this problem has no solution at this time)

This mod must be placed above any other third party mods that affect the trains, except for my own addons.
The mod does not support versions of game older than (1.41x).

Please check before activation:
it is recommended to add this line: -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
to the properties of the game launch in Steam (or in desktop shortcut in the end of the line “object” for nonsteam version) for better memory optimization and preventing game crashes with using alot of mods.
In Game:
For this mod are not recommended increase the settings “g_traffic” higher than value 1.0 or possible bugs and drawdowns FPS

    I am getting FPS drop on RTX 3080 and there are two different train horns.

    1. Thank you for your feedback!
      your video card does not affect FPS drops, it is the CPU’s business. Regarding the duplication of Horns, the second Horns have nothing to do with my mod and were introduced into the game by the developers. when the developers will adjust this feature (no sound positioning right now) I can remove duplicate Horns from my sounds. I will soon release a Short Trains addon which will not have FPS Drops for weak CPUs like yours.

    2. if you use a powerful CPU, then most likely the FPS drop is due to your incorrect invalid game settings which I warned about in the description

    just wondering did you lock your mods, I want to change the category and fix the name for my own purpose and everyone one of your mods comes up as either damaged or corrupt?

    1. I encrypted my mods because I radically changed the structure of 3d models in the last update and I don’t want anyone to get access to them. if you want to edit some specific configuration files (text). drop me a list and I will send them in an open zip archive for editing and patching.

        All I want is to change the wording in the manifest file, so that it matches my preferences, as sometimes people leave out certain lines that need to be there, or have characters that cause errors in the game, if you could send me the file I give you my 100% word it will not be re-uploaded by me

        1. you will not be able to add the modified file to my closed archive without spoiling it. I thought I could send you the files to install them in a separate zip folder (as an addon). but in the mod manager it would look like two separate files. so it won’t help in your case. i can’t help you with it

        2. but if you see some inaccuracies or unreadable characters in the text, you can always invite me to make corrections.

    but now i have these errors

    1. Wrong load order/ put my mod above SFP

    2. or delete any obsolete addons

    3. in any case, this error indicates a conflict with another mod or addon from the old version. some other mod overrides my files

    4. yes, I checked. these errors are indeed caused by installing Sound Fixes Pack on top of my mod. Drive Safely made our mods incompatible. by adding wagon sounds directly to wagon definition files instead of just using freight wagon sound forwarding via .soundref files. you can write to him on the forum and point out this error

    do not use old outdated patch

  5. due to the fact that the audience of my mod has decreased to 350-400 people who downloaded updates 1.43 all over the Internet, while the mod without updates is absolutely incompatible with the game and leads to crashes when loading. I don’t want to release public updates anymore. hopefully SCS won’t release game updates after a month. I wish you all the best
