Dalton and Elliot Hwy Extreme – Winter Edition v 1.0 (1.28.x)

Dalton and Elliot Hwy Extreme – Winter Edition v1.0 (1.28.x) for American Truck Simulator game.

The map is a Standalone Map on a 1:1 Scale and is NOT Compatible with any other map i.e C2C or Mexuscan so please do not ask.
I was going to make it an addon but with the rescale it would cause more headaches than its worth.
Experience has been increased to reflect the size of the map compared to the base game. Pay has not.
This map is not for the feint of heart it will take you 20 minutes to get to Fox from Fairbanks and 3 1/2 hours to get to Yukon River Camp. It takes about 2 hours or so just to get to the Dalton Highway from Fairbanks alone. There are hills and corners that will make your jaw drop or wake you up. This map has been mapped with google earth and elevations for every single node added to their correct heights for their respective locations via Google Maps Find Altitude.

For those of you who remember my 18 WOS Haulin version you are in for a real treat. there is no map shaking like the original back in 18WOS. Pavel told me the map was so big the game couldnt handle it lol.

There are two versions one Summer and one Winter.

As this is a W.I.P. and ongoing there maybe a few places that are not yet complete. I have blocked off the road where necessary so road construction can continue and you do not fall off the world. Eyesores will be taken care of at a later point as well as any holes I spot.

Map Includes
Alaska State Troopers and Fairbanks Police Cars, Custom Trailer skins for some companies. Carlile T680 and W900 Skins for the SCS player trucks and AI trucks
(Watch your speed on the Elliot and Dalton those Police and State Troopers can sneak up on you or just be around the next corner.)

Custom Signs as seen along the way.
Truckdealers are located in Fairbanks : Kenworth, Peterbilt and Volvo, Deadhorse: Peterbilt
Piva has kindly done a weather mod for this map. This is included in the download
I am aware of most errors (mainly cosmetic) that are on the map.
There is no need for any gas/petrol cheats. You can get to Coldfoot without the need to sleep or refuel. This map is in realtime.

  2. please when will summer version be updated??

  3. I have to admit my ignorance here. I extracted the six scs files, created a new profile, added the six mod files and no others. The loading screen shows the Dalton picture, but, when the game starts, I’m in a garage in one of the three stock States. I have no idea how to get it to start in Alaska. If it has anything to do with the “Module” choice when you make a new profile, that has never worked. It always shows California and is grayed out so can not be changed. Any help would be appreciated.

    1. How to use: Download and unrar the rar file with Winrar and put the scs file in your documents/American Truck Simulator /mods folder.
Start the game and create a new profile.
At the driver creation screen you need to open the Mod Manager and activate the mod and return to the driver screen you just created.
Choose Dalton.mdb as the map in the dropdown box for map selection and enjoy.

      1. Yup. Sounds like he missed the mdb selection as the last step. Common mistake I see a lot, and one I make myself sometimes.

        1. That’s exactly what I did. Got it all figured out now. Thanks for the help.

          1. Absolutely :) About to try this map for the first time myself in just a few moments :) Looking forward to a 1:1 map finally in ATS :) I usually get my scale fix on the Hungary map in ETS2.

  4. didnt work for me either, crashed back to desktop…so i binned it

    1. http://i.imgur.com/Krbj8e6.jpg did you try it with this load order?

      1. James. Thank you for the load order. In your screenshot I see you have something called “Dalton and Elliot Hwy Winter Heavy Cargo”. That is not included in this download at all. Is there a valid, official download link for it? Thanks.

        1. That file is only for if you got the DLC heavy cargo. the file your looking for is in here https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=194&t=213559

      2. Paul Addison

I did try your order however noticed in mine i do not have having downloaded the current download the heavy cargo file probably why mine is crashing to desktop all the time when trying to load have followed all steps only allowed heavy cargo dlc and the wheel tuning plus trucks which you must have any support would be appreciated

  5. this+doesnt+work+u+bums+fix+it+i+have+done+everything

    1. what even with this load order? http://i.imgur.com/Krbj8e6.jpg

  6. I also started a new profile, loaded these and instant crash no matter what. This should really be addressed, especially when the mod is over 1GB in size.

  7. Icetrucker

Why dont you all goto the SCS Forums where the official thread is and find out the correct load order and how to use this map

    1. Well Said

    worked completely fine for me…

  9. Curious, are the winter and summer versions swappable, as in I can activate one version or the other seamlessly? Would be nice to be able to play on summer version and then switch over to winter version in winter time, without having to make a separate profile, lose current load, etc. Thanks!

    1. Te save file works on winter and summer so you wont need 2 save files.

  10. I kind of thought this mod would be tedious and boring. It’s not. There is something mesmerizing about it. The 1:1 ratio is a whole new ball game. You are not going to drive a couple hundred miles in one sitting. Right now I’m on a 395 mile run and figure it will take at least 10 real time hours. I’ll just spread it over several days. It’s going to be interesting to see if any updates will be done. Oh, and some of the roads are real tricky.

    1. Icetrucker

He has put out a few updates on his thread on the SCS Forum. One just the other day for the Summer Version.

  11. I finally got a chance to try this map. I have only driven locally around Fairbanks, but I love what I see so far. I have this combined with around 50 other mods and no conflicts at all (no, my other mods are not maps, before you get excited). Thank you very much to the author of the map for this. if you ever feel like doing anything with a Colorado 1:1 map, I would be all over that. Either way, this map is going to have a series on my stream starting this week :)

When will this be updated for game V1.29?
