## Mod Overview

**Road Trip: Ford 999G** increases the fuel tank capacity of the four Ford vehicles included in the **Road Trip: Ford DLC** for American Truck Simulator to **999 US gallons (approximately 3,785 liters)**.

The vehicles retain their **original fuel consumption and driving performance**. Only the fuel tank capacity is increased, making the mod ideal for long-distance road trips and cross-country journeys.

## Purpose

This mod is designed for players who enjoy using the Road Trip: Ford vehicles for **long-distance driving and extended road trips**.

The goal is not to simulate a realistic fuel tank size, but to provide a more convenient gameplay experience by greatly reducing the need for frequent refueling.

The original fuel consumption remains unchanged, so the vehicles continue to behave normally while offering a much greater driving range.

## Mod Scope

This is a lightweight and focused modification.

Only the fuel tank-related settings of the four supported vehicle chassis are modified. No vehicle models, textures, sounds, or other DLC assets are included or replaced.

Other ATS trucks and unrelated vehicles are not intentionally affected.

Except this one is based on GM transmissions.
Why did I create a mod like this for American Truck Simulator?
Well, only one reason!
For the Ford DLC: Road Trip
Yes it is required, supports all four vehicles in the DLC.

This mod adds real performance for Crown Victoria stock and LX sport version (real 0-100 acceleration time). Moreover real engines are added as well with true to real life engine parameters.

Stock real performance engine accelerates to 100 in 9.5-10 seconds, and sport one in 8.5-9 seconds
Tested with power and balanced adaptive transmission setting.

This mod addresses a vanilla issue with the Ford cars from Road Trip where applying the engine brake would cause cars to downshift. You’ll also no longer be able to manipulate the engine brake using the decrease/increase keybinds. However, the engine brake indicator will still appear in the indicator widget if you press the engine brake keybind.
This should be compatible with sound mods that overwrite the existing “sound.sui” file.

Set the cruise speed to whatever speed you want and this mod will hold that speed without going up when going downhill. Activate it in mod manager and you’re good to go!
